Goma Child Rescue and Development Centre
FreeToBeKids established a safe house in Goma in 2010 to assist children and young women who are victims of civil war and endemic sexual violence and are at risk of exploitation. There are 20 children currently receiving full time care who were previously without a family, education or food security. By taking these children into care we are preventing them entering the sex industry when they reach age 12-13 and eliminating the extreme risk of sexual abuse or exploitation.
